• The main furniture in the living room is the sofa-unit, wall-unit, shoe-rack with dining table and study table as options.
• Heavy weight furniture is to be kept in the SW region whereas light weight furniture in the NE region.
• The host should occupy SW facing NE. The guest should be placed in SE or NW facing South or West directions.
• The TV and abode of God should be placed together in the NE region.
• Aquariums and fountains are preferred in NE region.

Functions

• The living room is a sanctuary for relaxation after a long day.
• It is also a place to socialise with friends and family.

Lighting

• It is preferable to have natural light entering from the NE side of the living room.
• The walls of the living room can be painted a calming blue or green or even yellow if it is more of a social venue.
• Pictures of landscapes containing water, such as pictures of lakes and rivers, should be kept on the North or East walls.
